Position: Project Engineer
Accurately assist the Project Manager and Project Superintendent in all facets of project record keeping, reporting and documentation. We are a local GC in Maui since 2018.
Position reports directly to the Project Manager or Sr Project Engineer
Key Area #1- Project Start-up
1) All project submittals
2) Project filing system set up and maintained in an organized and efficient manner.
3) Owner, Architect, Engineer, and trade partner files set up and accurately maintained.
4) The project superintendent accurately assisted in setting up the site power, sanitation.
5) Project field procurement log maintained accurately and timely.
Key Area #2- Research
1) All requested project research completed in an accurate and timely manner.
2) All project product designs follow Company and contract specification requirements.
Key Area #3 - Documentation
1) Project manager assisted accurately and timely with Exhibit A’s defining project scope.
2) Requests for Information written and submitted accurately and timely and recorded in the RFI Log.
3) If required, all project Letters of Intent issued accurately.
4) Project superintendent assisted accurately in tracking daily reports, labor reports, time sheets, Company/ trade
partner attendance logs, meeting minutes and daily site photographs.
Key Area #4- Safety
1) Project superintendent assisted in creating accurate Activity Hazard Analysis to assure safe work practices.
2) Project superintendent assisted in accurately completing all daily and weekly safety logs.
3) All project housekeeping records, and reporting completed accurately and in a timely manner.
4) Project superintendent assisted in accurately tracking and reporting job site near misses, accidents, and incident
reports.
5) Project SDS field binder accurately set up and updated as required.
6) Identifying all safety concerns and reporting them to the superintendent or competent Company staff member on
site. Project Engineer becomes the competent person to address if superintendent or foreman is off site.
Key Area #5- Budget/Billing
1) All required AIA billing created, submitted accurately and timely.
2) Field purchase order log set up and accurately maintained.
3) Owner and trade change order logs set up and accurately maintained.
Key Area #6 - Scheduling
1) The Project Manager assisted in updating and distributing the master schedule.
2) The Project Superintendent assisted in updating and distributing the 3-week rolling schedule.
3) The Project Superintendent assisted in coordinating and scheduling building inspections.
Key Area # 7- Project Close Out
1) The Project Manager assisted accurately in completing all required project close out documentation including attic
stock, as-Builts, warranty information and owner manuals.
- EXPERIENCE: AT LEAST 2 YEARS REQUIRED
