JOB TITLE: Home Visitor

JOB OVERVIEW:

Responsible for providing caregiver education that will enable the caregiver to be the first and foremost teacher for the child(ren) in their care.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Identify, recruit, and enroll caregivers in the home visiting program and provide engaging caregiver/ keiki activities that promote teaching philosophies from the TTM caregiver education curriculum;

-Schedule and facilitate in-person or virtual home visits in assigned communities;

-Provide wrap-around caregiver support, assistance with community resources, and participation in caregiver/keiki assessments;

-Assist in coordinating monthly in-person caregiver/keiki social gatherings in the local community;

-Collaborate with community partners, and assist with community events that promote early childhood education and support services;

-Obtain and maintain records of families and track their progress.

Pay Rate: $19.23

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

-Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field and six (6) months of experience working with keiki ages birth through five and their families; OR

-Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field and one (1) year of supervised experience working with keiki ages birth through five and their families; OR

-Current Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential and one (1) year of supervised experience working with keiki ages birth through five and their families;

-Must have access to a vehicle, a valid driver's license, a safe and responsible driving record, and current no-fault auto insurance, with at least $100K in bodily injury liability per person and $25K in property damage liability

Preferred:

-Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Drive, Canva publishing, and virtual meeting platforms; OR

-Able to troubleshoot computer and internet connectivity issues and assist caregivers when they experience issues;

-Knowledge and understanding of Hawaiian culture and values.
