Seasonal Whale Watch Naturalist Guide Wanted

Candidate will be working on board the Kanoa II, a 65’ luxury catamaran certified for 149 passengers departing from the Kailua Pier. Time required to work is approximately 3 hours a day. Excellent pay!

Applicants must have a background in natural sciences, marine biology, geology, cetaceans, general ecology and ornithology. If you're a marine mammal "Know It All", love public speaking and have a sense of humor, this job is for you!

Must be knowledgeable of Hawaii’s resident and transient whales including; Orca, Gray, Humpback, Minke, Killer, False Killer, Blainsville, Pilot, Short Fin Pilot, Melon Headed, Sperm, Dwarf Sperm, Pygmy, Cuvier, Spinner and Bottlenose dolphins, etc. Local knowledge of Hawaiian History, culture and customs is a requirement.

A B.A or B.S. in Marine Biology, Ecology, Zoology, and Environmental Science is preferred. Previous experience on boats and marine education/interpretation, and familiarity with Hawaii’s marine environment is preferred.
