POSITION SUMMARY: Under general direction from the Store Manager, the Cashier/Retail Representative is primarily responsible for coordinating inventory accuracy in the retail area, handling incoming retail stock, and updating POG adjustments, while managing the cashier station.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Greets customers upon their arrival.
2. Assists customers with cash and credit card transactions from the cashier station.
3. Balances the cashier station drawer with a daily cash worksheet.
4. Assists Counter Sales Representatives with answering phones.
5. Manages retail POG updates.
6. Maintains retail inventory accuracy.
7. Updates price labels.
8. Assists with putting away retail overstock when needed.
9. Operates at all times within published CQ Pacific LLC. Guidelines, policies, and procedures.
10. Performs other duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
1. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
2. Must be at least 18 years of age.
3. Must be punctual and dependable.
4. Must have or develop good customer service skills, including over the phone.
5. Minimum 2 years’ experience in handling cash transactions.
6. Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail operations.
7. Must have excellent communication skills and proper business etiquette.
8. Must have good working knowledge of computers.
9. A valid Drivers License with a good driving record is recommended.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
1. Walking: Moves about on foot often up and down stairs.
2. Handling: Seizes, helps, or works with hands.
3. Lifting: Raises or lowers miscellaneous parts, tools, and batteries.
4. Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
5. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
6. Standing: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
7. Vision: Reads paperwork and Exploris on the computer.
8. Talking: Communicates by phone and in person.
9. Lifting: Lifts up to 45lbs. daily, frequent exertion.
ENVIRONMENTAL:
1. Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
2. Temp/Weather: Works in an office environment.
