GM Construction, Inc. is a custom, luxury home builder that, for over twenty years, has constructed residences in the resort communities along the Kona and Kohala Coast.

We are currently looking for Superintendents, with three or more years of similar experience, to work on upcoming projects.

Our team is enthusiastic about building high-quality homes with craftsmanship, organization, and technical expertise.

SUPERINTENDENT EXPECTATIONS:

Perform material takeoffs.

Review and approve shop drawings.

Prepare cut lists, detail drawings based on building plans.

Layout all work prior to the work being installed.

Ensure all training is in place for each phase of work.

See that all company tools are cared for, safe, available and in good working order.

Prepare and maintain written schedule of work, update weekly, coordinated with the overall project schedule and assure that the project is completed on time.

Schedule all workmen, sub-contractors, and material deliveries.

Assign work to laborers and track time worked and tasked performed.

Monitor employee hours of work, breaks, and lunches.

Assure accuracy of timesheets submitted for self and all employees and submit to main office at end of each week.

Ensure workman's compliance to all company rules, policies and overall professionalism during the performance of their work (i.e. wearing company shirts, no swearing, overall positive and cooperative attitude, etc.).

Ensure work is done in a clean orderly manner and all trash is in proper receptacles at all times.

Obtain and maintain a certification to operate an off-road forklift.

Responsible to ensure all safety requirements are met.

Receive and inventory and secure all materials delivered to the jobsite.

Make sure the job is swept clean by the end of each week.

Turn in receipts and packing slips twice weekly.

To be on-site a minimum of 40 hours a week (7:30am to 4:00pm, Monday through Friday) working on company projects only.
