Billing Office Specialist (Hybrid position)
The Billing Office Specialist is a position designed to operate within all functions of the office responsible for authorizations and billing. Any activities related to the process of authorizing, billing, or collecting for services will be within the realm of this position. This position will work in collaboration with other related administrative team members to include front desk support and other administrative tasks as assigned. This position is flexible with hours, may include some weekend work. It also can be a partially remote position.

Pay: $20-$25/hour depending on experience

Specific job functions may include:
AUTHORIZATION MAINTENANCE
Conduct pre-authorization and re-authorization on all active clients
Enter all authorization and verification information into CR
Track and maintain current authorizations for every client
CLAIM MAINTENANCE
Create new client accounts
Prepare claims, audit for accuracy, and ensure submission of clean claims
Reprocess denied and corrected claims
Track payments and manage accounts receivable collections
ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
Provide front desk support and coverage as needed
Complete filing, auditing, and other file related tasks
Complete other administrative tasks as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or Certificate of Completion or equivalent
Experience: Two-three years’ in general office work
Approximately 90% of the position is completed in a seated position at a desk while utilizing phone and computer. An additional 10% is utilized in meetings, filing, and other functions throughout the building. Must be able to lift 25lbs.
