Cyber, Electronic Warfare and Space (CEW&S) is looking to hire an experienced ISSO to join our team at Hickam AFB Hawaii! In this role, you will serve as the principal advisor to the Information System Owner (SO) / Information System Security Manager (ISSM) on all matters, technical and otherwise, involving the security of information systems within the squadron. You will help to ensure the implementation and maintenance of security controls in accordance with the Security Plan (SP). Also, you will provide guidance, oversight, and expertise, develop security documents, and implement any security controls as well as coordinate, facilitate, or otherwise ensure system security controls are being performed.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Review, prepare, and update AIS accreditation packages.
  • Notify customer when changes occur that might affect AIS accreditation/certification.
  • Perform AIS self-inspections, provide security coordination and review of all system test plans.
  • Identify AIS vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures.
  • Represent the customer on various technical review and inspection teams.
  • Conduct security surveys at subordinate facilities and gather pertinent security documentation for inclusion into system accreditation packages.
  • Coordinate, prepare, and track AIS inspections, reports, and responses.
  • Maintain AIS security records and prepare Co-Utilization Agreements for network nodes operating in government facilities.
  • Prepare reports on the status of security safeguards applied to computer systems.
  • Ensure AIS and network nodes are operated, maintained, and disposed of in accordance with security policies and practices.
  • Perform ISSO duties in support of in-house and external customers.
  • Assist Department of Defense, National Agency and Contractor organizations with the development of certification and accreditation (C&A) efforts.
  • Review, track, and conduct AIS training.
  • Produce RMF packages for higher headquarters review and approval.

Minimum Qualifications

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. TS/SCI with ability to comply with SAP access. Requires DOD Directive 8570.01 IA Baseline Certification Requirement for IAT Level II
