Rehabilitation Assistant - West Rehab Svcs Admin (Full-Time, 40, Day)

RESPONSIBILITIESI. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES: Transports patients, assists in the routine care and treatment of patients, and maintains a clean and orderly department.II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Essential: standing, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, lifting and pushing/pulling usual weight of 50 pounds; carrying usual weight of 20 pounds. Frequent: stooping/bending, climbing stairs, squatting, twisting body, reaching above, at or below shoulders; repetitive arm/hand motion, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods; frequent gripping of an object. Occasional: sitting, kneeling, crawling, walking on uneven ground; finger dexterity, lifting and pushing/pulling up to maximum 50 pounds of force; carrying up to maximum 50 pounds. Operates whirlpools, weights, walkers, canes, wheelchairs. Requires working under stressful conditions.III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Subjected to both outside/inside environmental conditions and whirlpool temperatures up to 110F. Some exposure to body fluids and communicable diseases. Works with electrical/mechanical units. Exposed to strong odor/fumes from germicide to clean whirlpools and decreased ventilation due to room temperature. Requires working under a fast paced, stressful environment.IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: High school diploma or equivalent. Current certification in BLS/HCP.B. EXPERIENCE: One (1) year patient care work experience or equivalent public contact experience.
