This role offers the flexibility of being based out of a home office while primarily being in the field near Braselton, Georgia.Under the guidance of the Area Inspection Manager, you will perform daily inspections to ensure effective erosion, sedimentation, and pollution control on various construction and land development projects. This role is essential in promoting environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, and sustainable development. You'll collaborate with diverse teams to identify and mitigate environmental risks, contributing to the creation of safe and thriving communities.Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Conduct Thorough Inspections: Perform scheduled inspections with precision and care, ensuring all tasks are completed within the set timeframe. Hours are Monday-Friday from 8 am - 5 pm.

Prioritize Safety and Respect: Execute daily duties with a strong emphasis on safety and respect for both private and public property.

Communicate Effectively:

Engage proactively with staff, citizens, builders, and contractors to ensure clear and effective communication.

Collaborate closely with team members, sharing information and insights to support collective goals.

Maintain Accurate Records: Keep detailed and organized records of all inspections and related activities, ensuring reports are comprehensive and up-to-date.

Provide Client Support: Assist client staff with any additional services related to erosion control, demonstrating a commitment to their needs and expectations.

Offer Team Support: Be readily available to support and assist team members when needed, contributing to a positive and cooperative team environment.

Manage Administrative Tasks: Help with file maintenance, phone call management, and scheduling of inspections to ensure smooth operations.

Pursue Professional Development: Stay current with GSWCC certifications and professional credentials, and actively seek opportunities for further certification, training, and study of relevant codes and standards.

QualificationsWe welcome a diverse range of backgrounds and experiences! We are looking for candidates who bring a combination of education and experience that meets or exceeds the following criteria:

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. We value additional training in building inspection, structural engineering, or related fields. An Associate Degree in engineering, architecture, or building inspection, or equivalent ICC certification is a plus and will be viewed favorably.

Experience: At least one (1) year of experience as an erosion and sedimentation control inspector is preferred.

Certifications: Must hold GSWCC Level 1B inspector certification (required). GSWCC Level II plans examiner certification is a plus.

Technical Expertise: Familiarity with erosion and sedimentation control laws, Best Management Practices, land development methods, and stormwater conveyance construction materials and techniques.

Communication: Strong written and oral communication skills are essential.

Tech Savvy: Proficiency in using work-related technology (laptop, tablet, iPhone) and software programs like Microsoft Word and Excel.

Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and conduct. Self-discipline and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are key.

Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others and contribute positively as part of a team.

Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards company goals and client relationships.

Relationship Building: Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues and clients.

License: Must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license.

Our pay range for this role starts at $26.44 per hour for candidates who meet the minimum requirements. The upper end of the pay scale will vary based on factors such as experience, education, licenses, and certifications.
