Paid Internship | Tucker, GA, USA | Hourly | Part Time Join Georgia System Operations Corporation as an Intern and gain hands-on experience in the Electric Utility industry! This exciting opportunity allows you to apply your classroom knowledge in a real-world setting while working alongside industry professionals. Use your Summer to make tangible impacts on meaningful projects that make a difference in providing safe and reliable electricity for our Electric Membership Cooperatives. As an Intern at Georgia System Operations Corporation, you will have the opportunity to support and learn from our associates with decades of combined industry knowledge. This year's available opportunities span our Operations and Shared Services Divisions. Interns will be selected for roles in the following departments for the program beginning Summer 2025:+ + Business Operations & Planning

Cybersecurity/Security Operations

Human Resources

Information Technology

We'll support you in refining your current skills and discovering new ones all while gaining valuable insights and experience in a professional environment. You will also have the chance to showcase your knowledge and creativity by completing a capstone project during your internship. This hands-on experience will not only expand your knowledge in the Utility industry but also provide you with tangible skills that will benefit your future career endeavors.

Position Requirements:

Successful candidates for the Intern position at Georgia System Operations Corporation should possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders. Time management skills are essential to handle multiple tasks and meet project deadlines efficiently. The ability to thrive in a professional environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams is crucial for success in this role.

Hands-on experience with common technology used in a professional business setting as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office tools are necessary for daily tasks and project execution.

Enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with a minimum 2.8 GPA in one of the following areas of study preferred: Engineering Disciplines (Electrical, Mechanical etc), Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Information Technology, Business Disciplines (Accounting, Finance etc), Software Engineering

Candidates should demonstrate a passion for learning and applying knowledge in a practical setting.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position are:

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Time management skills.

Hands-on experience with technology, including Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, computer hardware, and software.

Ability to work in a professional environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.

Must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program at an accredited College or University

Must have a minimum 2.8 GPA and have completed at least 2 semesters of college level coursework prior to the start of the internship; unofficial transcripts required.

Ability to commit to a 10-12-week summer program, up to 40 hour each week, onsite at GSOC offices in Tucker, GA
