These high-technology products and services enable modern life by delivering efficiency, safety, and security across several platforms!This role will be a key member of the factory responsible for overhauling the layout of the Carrier production lines to ensure work content is balanced to improve flow and increase productivity!This important position will report to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing a balanced manufacturing line. To do this, the individual will need to leverage cross functional resources across the operation team to ensure a robust plan and execution.Key responsibilities:
Improving work cell design and Process flow throughout the factory
Support line back logistics for the factory such as setting up Milk runs and JIT
Support the factory on layout modifications using CAD
Support lean transformation activities in the factory such as Kaizen, 3P, VSM and 5S events
Develop a Model to optimize Mixed Product Operation with fluctuating volumes using FlexSim
Support the data entry for the CT and TAKT studies in the factory in a periodic manner
Up to date Line Balance Sheets for 7 unique areas in the factory
Support data entry to PFMEA
Support on converting the factory to a Paperless Standard Work Instruction Work Area
Improving manufacturing visual management
Learning and applying new concepts while keeping current with state of the art techniques
Analyze the current process to identify and remove waste
Split work content to balance each line and identify required labor to meet demand
Education / certifications:
BS degree in Industrial Engineering or related discipline with 4–6+ years’ experience
MS degree with 2+ years’ experience
Experience / qualifications:
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certified
Experience with building VSM in Manufacturing Environment
Understanding of Statistics
Experience using CAD software such as Auto CAD and Pro-E
Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Advanced Excel User with understanding of Power Pivots & Slicers preferred)
Data mining & manipulation experience with VBA, SQL, other methods
Ability to use a Factory Optimization software like FlexSim
Reliable, willing to learn, and is attentive to detail
Proven project management experience
Ability to work and interact with all levels of an organization
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Self-starter and able to work with minimal direction
