Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Finish Carpenter to join our talented team at Savannah Scenic Services. As a shop carpenter, you’ll build sets and scenic elements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment for immersive and theatrical productions. This role requires a skilled professional who can read plans, work independently, and has strong expertise in woodworking.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret blueprints and construction plans to build and finish high-quality scenic sets.
Collaborate with the production team to ensure builds meet creative specifications.
Operate woodworking tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:
Proven experience in finish carpentry, ideally in a scenic/ theatrical or cabinet shop setting.
Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a shop environment.
