Job Description:
We are looking for an individual who will be joining our sales team. This person will work directly in supporting the sales team as well as completing all necessary paperwork. Although this person will start as a Sales Assistant, we are looking for someone who wants to grow with the company to eventually take their own sales leads.
As a fast-growing ecommerce furniture company, we receive a high-volume of inbound calls each and every day. Candidates must have a positive 'can do' attitude with a focus on providing outstanding service in a fast-paced, customer-oriented retail call center environment.
Summary of Main Responsibilities:
1. Supporting sales staff through a variety of tasks – creating sales order estimates, communicating directly with customers to help answer routine questions, assisting in obtaining from customers the required documentation for order processing, etc.
2. Studying product collection on a constant basis to gain extensive knowledge of product specifications, warranties, accessories, vendors, etc.
3. Completing all required documentation when submitting sales order processing.
4. Developing long-lasting relationships with customers through supreme customer service, constant communication, and extensive product knowledge.
5. Outbound Calling on potential sales opportunities.
6. Answering a multi-line telephone system, taking accurate messages and transferring telephone calls to the appropriate person in an efficient manner – At times we will need this position to serve as back up to the receptionist
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required for this role.
2. Strong computer skills.
3. Constant Email Management
4. Ability to adapt and multi-task in a fast paced working environment.
5. Professional appearance and strong work ethic.
6. Knowledge of QuickBooks is helpful.
7. Strong phone presence and experience dialing and receiving a high-volume of calls per day.
8. Sales experience is helpful!
9. Candidates who are personable, open to learning, collaborate well with others and have a positive attitude, and are more apt to saying “yes” or “we’ll try” (rather than “no” or “that’s impossible”) will be at the top of our list.
