Office Assistant / Administrative Assistant

Griffin Electric Co., Inc. – a busy and growing electrical contracting company – is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Office Assistant / Administrative Assistant to join our team.

Job Duties Include, but not limited to the following:

Answering and directing phone calls with excellent phone etiquette

Speaking with customers in a professional, courteous manner

Assisting with job and crew scheduling

Performing general office tasks including filing, scanning, typing quotes, typing and posting invoices and organizing

Reading and responding to emails

Using Microsoft Excel and Word daily (Excel skills are a must)

Helping with basic bookkeeping tasks (knowledge of QuickBooks Contractor Edition is a plus)

Required Skills and Experience:

1. Strong communication skills required – courteous and professional demeanor is a must.

2. Strong decision-making and problem solving skills.

3. Strong computer skills.

4. Ability to adapt and multi-task in a fast paced working environment.

5. Professional appearance and strong work ethic.

6. Candidates who are personable, open to learning, collaborate well with others and have a positive attitude, and are more apt to saying “yes” or “we’ll try” (rather than “no” or “that’s impossible”) will be at the top of our list.

Growth Opportunity:

If you pick up quickly, we’ll teach you how to read electrical blueprints and assist with job quoting. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills in the construction industry.

What We're Looking For:

Strong proficiency in Excel and Word

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced office

Friendly, professional communication skills—especially over the phone and email.

Familiarity with QuickBooks Contractor Edition is highly desirable

Dependable, detail-oriented, and organized

Position:

Full-time, in-office

Monday–Friday 8am-5pm schedule
