Pool Maintenance Technician: Savannah
Job Description
General Overview
The pool Technician role is centered on the ongoing maintenance (cleaning, filter change, and chemical balance), troubleshooting, and repair of Heirloom’s Savannah pools and hot tubs: located across Savannah, Thunderbolt, and Wilmington Islands.

While water amenities will be the central focus of this role, the pool technician should also expect to assist the maintenance and property management team with misc. facilities management tasks, as the need arises. A successful candidate is a reliable team player, a resourceful problem solver with previous pool and hot tub maintenance experience.
Essential Functions
Maintaining pool equipment and chemical stock levels at store and in the vehicle.
Testing swimming pool water pH, and chlorine levels.
Adding acid, chlorine, and other chemicals to correct pH level.
Cleaning the swimming pool using authorized equipment.
Replacing globes in underwater light fittings.
Fixing cracks or leaks in the swimming pool structure.
Fitting and repairing pipes and plumbing for spas and pools.
Servicing and fixing faulty pool pool cleaning equipment.
Completing paperwork and reporting service requirements to management.
Reporting any needed repairs, low-stock items, and facilities maintenance needs in a timely fashion.
Other pool and spa repair and maintenance tasks as assigned.
Communicating with third party vendors to escalate repairs, as appropriate
Order parts and/or pursue warranties, when necessary
Working collaboratively with the local property operations team to complete misc facilities management tasks
Assist with onboarding new pools: Completing intake form, programming equipment settings, getting pool remote online, etc.
Special projects, as assigned.
Requisites
Must have a valid driver’s license, an upstanding driving record, reliable transportation to and from the Savannah market. Mileage reimbursement will be provided on a monthly basis.
Lives in close or commutable proximity to Savannah, GA
CST or CSP pool certification strongly preferred, will consider applicants with significant experience
Prior experience working on a pool heater is a must.
Prior experience working with saltwater pools (3-5+ years)
Extensive knowledge of proper pool cleaning and maintenance methods.
Extensive knowledge of swimming pool chemicals and their properties.
Ability to lift heavy equipment.
Our pools and spas are located outdoors, service is performed 2x weekly year round, rain or shine.
Highly proficient in the use of hand and power tools
Schedule & Compensation
The Pool Technician is a full-time salaried role with benefits (PTO, health insurance, etc) based in Savannah, GA. The work schedule is variable and is based on business needs. Some weekend availability is required.
