A Moving Company Crew Chief is responsible for overseeing and managing the moving crew during a move. Their role involves a combination of leadership, logistics, and customer service. Key responsibilities include:
Leadership and Supervision:
Lead and direct the moving crew, ensuring that tasks are performed efficiently and safely.
Assign specific duties to crew members based on their strengths and experience.
Ensure that the crew follows the company's policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Pre-Move Planning:
Conduct pre-move assessments, including inventorying items and determining the best way to pack and load the truck.
Communicate with the customer to understand their needs and expectations for the move.
Plan the route and logistics for the move, considering factors such as traffic, timing, and weather conditions.
Packing and Loading:
Oversee the packing and loading process, ensuring that all items are handled carefully and securely.
Ensure that the moving truck is packed efficiently to maximize space and minimize the risk of damage.
Train or assist crew members with proper lifting techniques and the use of equipment (dollies, straps, etc.).
Customer Interaction:
Serve as the main point of contact for the customer throughout the move.

Requirements
4+ years experience as a Crew Chief
Experience working at a white glove moving company
Experience running white glove packing jobs
Experience running multiple truck jobs
4+ years driving experience with 26’ box trucks
Pass DOT physical
