Apply Today!Job Summary and QualificationsThe Trauma Nurse Lead (TNL) provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of MHUMC. In collaboration with the patient, the patient’s family, the trauma surgeon, and other members of the multidisciplinary care team, the TNL assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates the trauma treatment plan.The TNL demonstrates strong trauma clinical assessment, nursing intervention, and effective communication/leadership skills. In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Trauma Nurse Lead supports the trauma program through involvement, participation and/or delivery of performance improvement activities, education, outreach, and research initiatives. He/she will assist the trauma surgeon with prioritizing, triaging, and ensuring effective care of the most critical surgical/trauma patient.What qualifications you will need:
Graduated from an NLN accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field preferred
Current GA or compact state RN license required
BLS and ACLS required
TNCC and PALS within 6 months of hire if not currently certified
TCRN, CEN, or CCRN preferred
2+ years of experience in critical care or emergency nursing required
1+ years of experience in trauma care preferred
