Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform Administrator- Remote Eligible in GAC Savannah

Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.Position Purpose:This role is part of the Container Operations Support team, responsible for providing Gulfstream's container infrastructure based on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform. Directly support this company's containerized microservices. Responsible for the day to day platform maintenance, monitoring and troubleshooting of problems. This role will work across functional teams as well as performing as an individual contributor.Job DescriptionPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Responsible for the daily monitoring and health of the container platform . Participates as part of a technical team responsible for the overall support and management of the OpenShift Container Platform . Works with the Container Solutions Architect and Platform Engineer to implement design plans and platform configurations . Participates on cross-functional project teams supporting deployment of new applications .Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements: Excellent communication skills. Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision. Demonstrates a strong customer service focus. Experience working in a highly available, multi-datacenter environment. Ability to work occasional weekends and outside regular business hours. Experience supporting containerized applications running on Kubernetes. Ability to deploy OpenShift Container Platform 4 using IPI and UPI process. Ability to perform day-to-day maintenance of OpenShift Container Platform environment. Ability to automate routine tasks using Ansible. Ability to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and pinpoint root causes. Ability to deploy Operators and applications. Understanding of OCP upgrade processes. Understanding of EFK stack and ability to create dashboards in Kibana. Understanding of backup and restore processes . Understanding of container storage backends such as NFS, vSphere, and PureStorage. Understanding of Red Hat Compliance Operator and CIS policies.
