Description We are in the search for a dedicated Project Assistant to join our team in the non-profit sector based in Savannah, Georgia. This role involves actively participating in community and administrative events and providing essential support to drive the success of our projects. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, interact with donors, and contribute to our mission. Responsibilities: Act as a key support figure in the recruitment of donors at designated blood drives, providing necessary information and encouragement for potential donors. Prepare and set up essential materials for blood drive events, such as signage, tables, tents, and other promotional materials. Regularly report results and relevant information throughout the duration of each blood drive to the appropriate manager. Demonstrate the highest quality of customer service to all sponsors, patrons, donors, and team members. Understand and communicate our mission to donors and group contacts, providing necessary logistical support. Manage and resolve donor or sponsor complaints, forwarding any complex issues to the Donor Resources Team. Coordinate community events and administrative management tasks as needed. Assist in the onboarding and training process for new team members, while promoting a welcoming and inclusive environment. Be prepared to work on a flexible schedule, with the understanding that most blood drives are concentrated from Friday to Sunday. Exhibit confidence and a goal-driven attitude in performing tasks and interacting with donors and team members. Adhere to the company's dress code, ensuring a professional appearance at all times. Requirements Must possess experience in non-profit project assistance Demonstrated skills in coordinating community events Proven ability in administrative management Experience in event coordination is necessary Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Must be capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously Strong organizational and time management skills are required Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint A high level of attention to detail and accuracy is needed Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Must have problem-solving and critical thinking skills A bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred Must be able to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards Previous experience in a non-profit organization is advantageous.
