A Masters degree may be used to offset one year of experience; PhD may offset two years of experience. 6 years combined experience in Engineering, Advanced Computing, Business Technology, Computational Science, or related field to include two (2) years of experience managing professional level employees or medium to large, cross-functional teams or projects.Position Purpose:Manage company and contractor/supplier resources to meet assigned operational goals for one or more divisions of the Advanced Computing Technologies (ACT) Department. Actively works to improve daily processes ensuring operations meet customer requirements and expectations. Responsible for management of all program schedules, innovation, R&D, incident and problem management, prototyping, testing, security, implementation, production, and upgrade management (including all associated cost/benefit analysis, resource plans & budgets) issues & activities.Job DescriptionPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:Essential Functions: Manages the personnel and operations for an ACT division. Tracks division's schedule and performance goals. Develops Master Schedules for R&D, long term strategic plans and annual program planning. Monitors budgets to achieve cost targets and/or desired savings/revenue. Administers program configuration control activities and develops/makes updates to advanced computing specifications. Manages quality, reliability, availability, performance, security, and related end user support issues to ensure top drivers are identified & resolved. Supports Advanced Computing activities to meet business & customer requirements and satisfaction goals. Manages implementation of maintenance, enhancement, and continuous improvement programs to achieve quality, reliability & availability targets/goals. Manages evaluation, selection, & implementation of new Advanced Computing technologies. Supports internal and external technical service activities to meet business & customer satisfaction goals. Manages & coordinates preparation of proposals, bills of materials, cost estimates, and supports procurement and purchasing activities. Conducts briefings for senior level management, and conducts technical meetings for internal/external contacts and customers. Builds positive inter-organizational working relationships that improve performance with key customers, support departments, and internal/external partners. Manages establishment of facilities and equipment necessary to meet current and future requirements of the environment.Additional Functions: Ensures that the ACT environment(s) complies with corporate security policies, including requirements for vulnerability management and risk management. . Manages division's Dashboard(s) and wiki(s) to deliver performance metrics and maintain Technical & Program updates (where applicable). . Manages vendor and supplier relationships to ensure program deliverables, schedules & budgets are met. .Perform other duties as assigned.Other Requirements: Detailed understanding of Program/Project Management processes & procedures, and service delivery in high performance business and technical environments. PMP certification or Formal Project Training preferred. Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Excellent planning, time management and organization skills.
