Job Title: Advanced Avionics/Electrical Technician

Location: Savannah, GA

Schedule: All Shifts

Job Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $32:19 hr

Role Overview:As an Advanced Avionics/Electrical Technician, you will provide technical expertise in testing aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact. You will play a crucial role in implementing process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising safety or quality.Essential Functions:

Demonstrate technical skills in avionics and aircraft systems operational testing and troubleshooting.

Perform installation and functional testing of electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft per engineering specifications, ensuring a defect-free system.

Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshooting processes to provide timely, quality repairs.

Repair or replace defective components and wiring, using effective repair techniques.

Comply with engineering changes and modifications as required.

Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conducting functional and operational tests.

Ensure all work performed on the aircraft is properly documented and ready for inspection.

Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems, and components.

Comply with the company's FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.

Adapt to sudden schedule changes.

Additional Functions:

Support aircraft certification and final phase testing, including flight tests as required.

Other Requirements:

Proficiency in the operation and troubleshooting of other aircraft systems or disciplines (e.g., hydraulics, landing gear) is preferred.

Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High School Diploma or GED required.

Four (4) years of experience in an avionics/electrical career field, or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years of related experience.

A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.

FCC license preferred.

NCATT certification preferred.
