Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Controller in the retail industry, located in Savannah, Georgia. The chosen candidate will be instrumental in managing and overseeing all aspects of financial operations across our business. The role involves collaborating with the accounting team, understanding dealership operations, ensuring deadlines are met, and adapting to evolving business needs.Responsibilities: Ensure timely completion of assigned accounting, payroll, and administrative tasks on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Gain a comprehensive understanding of the dealership operations to manage deal flow and deal management effectively. Work efficiently and proactively to ensure deadlines are met. Collaborate and assist other members of the accounting team as needed. Display flexibility for ad hoc collaboration based on evolving business needs. Manage and oversee all accounting functions. Oversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) operations. Apply automotive sales knowledge and experience in the automotive industry to improve processes and operations. Utilize Dealer Track, Pivot Table, and other administrative skills to optimize operations. Provide automotive service knowledge to enhance customer service and satisfaction. Requirements Minimum of 3 years experience in an Assistant Controller or similar role within the retail industry Proficient in Accounting Functions such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Experience in Automotive sales and familiarity with Dealer Track software Ability to use Pivot Table for data analysis and reporting Knowledgeable about Automotive Service and the Automotive Industry Previous Administrative experience and strong Administrative skills are essential Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software Must be able to multitask and manage time efficiently High attention to detail and accuracy in all work Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
