They are Integrity, Teamwork, Passion for Winning, Ownership & Leadership.The Senior Manager, PMO will be responsible for leading a team of Program Managers within the Writing Business Unit to deliver New Product Development (NPD) on time, on cost and to spec. The Senior Manager will develop tools and systems to increase the team’s performance, decrease the development timeline, and reduce complexity while following the corporate stage-gate innovation process. The position will be a hands-on role with the expectation for this person to lead strategic projects as well as manage the team.The position will require exceptional interpersonal management skills while forming strong partnerships with cross-functional teams. Additionally, the role will own Writing innovation funnel analysis and reporting.Job Responsibilities

Deliver Writing Business Unit objectives of innovation project timing, cost, and quality.

Lead and develop a team of 3+ Program Managers

Independently lead projects that range in complexity in new/existing markets and technology; coach PMO team members to do the same.

Build, develop, and grow any cross-functional business relationships, and help PMO team to establish these with key development partners.

Maintain data integrity of innovation funnel for regular reporting to leadership.

Monitor and flag project or funnel risks and facilitate mitigation or resolution.

Use financial information and analysis to support fact-based business decisions.

Prepare agenda for and facilitate monthly stage-gate meeting with executive leadership.

Develop and maintain standardized timeline templates for projects.

Manage project scope, ensuring cross-functional alignment at Charter. Navigate mid-project churn.

Motivate and monitor project team members and hold them accountable to complete tasks.

Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within project teams.

Interact effectively with global development teams.

Cultivate effective communication skills (written & verbal) for PMO team.

Lead post-launch evaluations to drive continuous improvement of project execution.

Serve as a role model for professionalism and leadership.

Recognize, celebrate, and reward successes of individuals and of teams.

Support strategic assignments outside of new product development as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering, or in a related STEM field.

10+ years of experience in project management, consumer products industry experience highly preferred.

5+ years of experience in management and leadership role.

Experience leading projects and programs with high complexity and high levels of capital spend.

Proven ability to facilitate relations between business groups and technology departments at a global level.

Demonstrated familiarity with manufacturing processes and production planning.

Experience in developing and deploying project best practices, policies, procedures, and processes.

Experience leading people through organizational change

Proficient in Microsoft Project as a project management tool & expert-level comfort with waterfall project management methodology

Possesses influencing skills (leads by example, clearly articulates business cases and interpretation of cause-effect impact).

Highly effective organization and planning skills required.

Ability to support the needs of and interact appropriately with cross-functional personnel through executive leadership.

Possess an agile mindset with a problem-solving orientation, with the ability to analyze issues and lead others to solutions.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills

Attention to detail; commitment to data integrity and documentation.
