Position Summary:The CRNA is a registered nurse and advanced practice nurse who works in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, physicians and other medical professionals to deliver anesthesia for medical and surgical procedures.Essential Job Functions:
Reviewing medical history, evaluating patients and determining proper methods of anesthesia
Completing a pre-operative anesthesia assessment for patients scheduled for surgery
Accurately measuring and monitoring the level and speed at which anesthesia is administered
Providing anesthesia care to patients at the surgery center, including ultrasound guided popliteal blocks
Monitoring patient?s vital signs to ensure safety
Informing the surgeon if a patient becomes unstable
Attending to patient?s needs before, during and after surgery
Overseeing patient recovery from anesthesia
Maintaining and stocking the anesthesia cart with supplies
Maintaining legible and complete records and billing procedures
Exhibiting the ability to work independently at the surgery center
Perform Ultrasound guided Popliteal blocks
Other duties as assigned.
