Schedules we are hiring for:Night Shift Monday-Thursday 6pm-4:30amWeekend Night Shift Friday-Saturday-Sunday 6pm-6:30amEssential Functions:Ensures all associates comprehend and execute safe work practices by performing regular safety observations and having regular safety discussionsIdentifies and resolves safety issues on the floor and notifies the appropriate party for resolutionAddresses safety issues or trends escalated from associatesDetermines the daily workload (production volume) for department as established by the facilityMonitors the flow of inventory in the facility frequently throughout the dayExpedites receiving, picking and shipping of priority product to internal and external customersResearch and resolve pick and ship reported errors and initiate efforts to prevent reoccurrence by addressing the root causeTrain associates on equipment, documenting proficiency and directing resolution to equipment issuesCompletes all incident reports for in-house product damage, near misses and injuries, and equipment incidents completing accident reports for associate injuriesIdentifies and assists in implementing process improvements or new processes launched from SSCIdentifies and takes action on needs for efficient operations, safety issues, and bottlenecksMonitors staffing needs for department/shift and adjusts work to be accomplished on the shift according to available resources and skillsetsConducts shift briefing and prepares shift turnover documentationCommunicates effectively with associates regarding business objectives or current issuesMonitors individual and team productivity and drive continuous productivity improvement through process enhancements and one on one coachingApproves off standard hours for associates ensuring accurate accounting of performance for work teamSets goals and communicates clear expectations for associates providing timely and constructive feedbackProvides associates with meaningful developmental opportunities and prepares them for upward promotion as applicableWorks with associates to build a work environment of engagement and inclusionParticipates in the process of hiring talented individuals for the team, submitting, requisitions, interviewing, and assisting HR in the hiring processTrain new hires and existing employees on processes and procedures as applicableDiscusses and resolves conflicts between associatesSponsors and leads associates through changeResponds to incidents or injuries and ensures first aid response takes place as neededCollaborates with the other operational shifts to ensure consistent processes and expectationsMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree - Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field OR 4 years of experience in distribution center/warehouse operations or related areaBasic math and reading comprehension skillsBasic computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeProven record of complying with safety requirementsExperience building a culture of safety among subordinates and peersPreferences:Leadership experience with direct report responsibilityExperience mentoring and coaching othersExperience monitoring the work of others to ensure qualityExperience managing resources, time, and budgetsExperience working with and communicating to leadership all levels of the organizationPrevious leadership roles in other Lowe’s supply chain facilities, or leadership roles in Corporate-led initiativesExperience with software applications such as Microsoft Office and/or a Warehouse Management SystemBi-lingual skills, if applicable to the facilityLowe’s is an equal opportunity employer and administers all personnel practices without regard to race, color, religious creed, sex, gender, age, ancestry, national origin, mental or physical disability or medical condition, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, military or veteran status, genetic information, or any other category protected under federal, state, or local law.Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
