This position will be available at our Mill Separation plant located in Jesup, GA/Nahunta, GA/Patterson, GA and report directly to the Georgia Process Engineer Lead. The Georgia Process Engineer supports the mineral concentration, separation, and mining facilities to ensure product quality specifications are met while maximizing valuable mineral recoveries and throughput. The role will be responsible for providing engineering support, analyzing data to provide process recommendations, and performing economic evaluations to assist operational decision making. In addition, the role will lead process improvement efforts, recommend potential upgrades, perform root cause analysis investigations, and provide technical and metallurgical support as needed, targeting improved financial performance of the Minerals Operations Business. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:  

Adhere to all company safety, environmental and health rules and all company policies and procedures.

Coordinate with production teams and offer process control support on plant settings for optimal product grade and recovery, plant optimization.

Monitor daily reports tracking feed grade, throughput capacity, product output and recovery and engage operations to discuss, understand, and communicate process related issues.

Monitor mill performance through sample analysis and visual inspection of the process at key points both hands-on and with support from operational personnel.

Maintain and improve existing Standard Operating Platform (SOP) in support of operational consistency.

Complete documentation for process changes including SOP, Process Flow Diagrams, and any other documentation required to ensure correct and consistent implementation.

The following is required for this role:  

Pursuing an undergraduate degree in BS in Mining Engineering, Process Engineering, Metallurgy, Mineral Processing or Chemical Engineering.

Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
