We are looking for an addition to the maintenance team as a Facilities Maintenance Technician. The position is Monday through Friday with the starting pay of $22/ hour, for well qualified applicants. Job Description:
Good driving record, able to drive 26’ box truck with air brakes.
Operation of lawn equipment, including mower, weed trimmer, hedge trimmer, pruner. Work will sometimes be outside in heat, and cold.
Maintenance of lawn equipment.
Must be able to perform cosmetic repairs and maintenance in the facility.
Use of man lift to change bulbs, paint, clean.
Certify on forklift.
Change filters on RTU, perform simple repairs.
Maintain communication among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs between shifts
Report any safety issues or concerns to the maintenance manager
Support the implementation of the defined 5s standard
Adhere to all safety guidelines outlined by OSHA and Nifco KTW
Responsible for the safety of equipment as well as that of the operators
Record documentation according to specifications
Accurately complete appropriate paperwork and/or enter into computer if required
Continuous participation in improvement of processes and procedures
Communicate about work that still needs to be completed and all required information with other shifts and departments
Forwards suggestions for improvement to manager
Immediately informs the manager about malfunctions within work area.
Conscientious handling of the provided tools
Proper use of hand and power tools.
Comply with all regulations regarding workplace safety and accident prevention in everyday operations as well as informing the manager if deviations are detected during the shift.
Perform maintenance and conversion work throughout the plant
Scheduling work orders to minimize production disruption.
Able to work overtime when needed, possibly on short notice.
Furniture assembly, disassembly, moving and maintenance.
Able to lift 50 lbs. to waist height, and load into a truck.
