Saw Operator/Inspector (Norcross, GA)

Saw Operation:Operate various types of saws (e.g., band saws, cold saws, chop saws). Set up and adjust saw blades and machines for different materials and cuts. Ensure accurate cuts by setting stops, guides, and using measuring tools. Monitor machine performance and identify potential issues. Quality Control:Inspect finished parts for defects and ensure adherence to specifications. Use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers) to verify dimensions. Report any quality issues to supervisors. Safety and Maintenance:Follow established safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organized work area. Perform routine maintenance on saws, including blade changes and lubrication. Other Duties:Load and unload materials for sawing, potentially using forklifts or cranes. Help pack and transport finished pieces. Maintain records of production and material usage. Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members.
