Staff Accountant

Description We are offering an opportunity to work in the bustling city of McDonough, Georgia, within the financial industry. This role focuses on the responsibilities of a Staff Accountant, providing an engaging workspace where you will assist in managing working capital and improving departments such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury. This position offers a short term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Assist the Treasurer in managing working capital Improve the efficiency of the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Treasury departments Handle all aspects of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Conduct regular Bank Reconciliations Maintain the General Ledger and make necessary Journal Entries Oversee the Month End Close process Utilize Oracle software for financial management Carry out Treasury Function duties as required. Requirements Possession of a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Demonstrated experience in performing Bank Reconciliations Familiarity with General Ledger management and Journal Entries Proven experience in handling Month End Close processes Knowledge and experience with Oracle software Ability to perform Treasury Function duties Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field preferred Excellent communication and organizational skills Strong attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word Strong commitment to adhering to ethical standards and company policies Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations.
