Our client, one of the top healthcare systems, is looking to hire an IT Desktop Support Tech for their Georgia locations in Columbus and Macon. Job Title:
IT Desktop Support Tech (Onsite) Location: Columbus/Macon, GA Contract Length: 6 months (C-H)Required Skills/Experience- High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate or bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2-3+ years' experience preferred in customer service/ / IT Support
- Desktop operating systems, hardware, printers and peripherals, desktop applications (i.e. Microsoft Office products etc.), LAN/WAN Connectivity.
- Experienced in troubleshooting issues on end-user computing devices, including desktops, laptops, and Surface Pros.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office, Ethernet and wireless networking, hardware and software setup, and problem resolution
- Proficiency in Internet related applications such as E-Mail clients and Web Browsers
- History of working in an Active Directory domain environment
- Proficient at software installs and troubleshooting
- Some networking knowledge, along with the ability to troubleshoot network issues from the command line.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently to meet end-user needs
- Superior organization skills, attention to detail, and appropriate motivation
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and customer relation skills
- Works independently on routine assignments. Strives to improve skill/problem solving abilities.
- Windows desktop and mobile device support and setup, printer support
- Maintains/follows all network and non-networked standards. (i.e. print queue and account creations, security procedures etc.)
- Recommends/Implements and maintains all desktop hardware and software management systems.
- Maintains/Recommends desktop standards and images. Working with Network Administration and Information Compliance Management on requirements for all areas responsible
- Creates/Maintains/Implements desktop/peripheral/local office/local application P&Ps.
- Maintains clean work environment.
- Disposes of discarded/un-repairable equipment following CHOA's disposal procedures. (Inventory, Safety etc.)
- Completes problem resolution, work orders including critical problems in a timely manner (following SLA's), updating client of status & maintaining work schedules and appointments.
- Maintains service level agreements and follows up with customers.
- Provides status reports as requested in a timely manner.
- Properly documents all work orders and problem calls in tracking system, once assigned, while in work and once completed. A constant chain of documentation for current user status.
- Escalates problems to the proper person/groups/management in a timely manner.
