Description Robert Half is trying to fill an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk position with an organization that offers a stimulating work environment among a team of experienced, motivated professionals. The candidate's responsibilities in this role include attending to the general needs of the AP/Finance Department, while working closely and reporting to the Accounting Manager. The candidate will mainly focus on matching and batching code, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L and processing checks are primary areas of focus. Organize, register, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents
Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks
Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners
Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis
Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed
Complete special projects on an as-needed basis
Complete full-cycle A/P
Provide support during internal and external audits
Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Attentive, ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
Enterprise resource planning experience desired
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
