Materials Manager

As the Materials Manager, you will oversee materials planning and inventory management across the facility, driving improvements in material flow to support a lean manufacturing environment. Your leadership will be key in optimizing logistics, minimizing costs, and ensuring operational efficiency.ResponsibilitiesLead internal materials management activities at the Jackson, GA facility.Develop and implement a materials strategy to enhance customer service, increase inventory turns, and minimize excess inventory.Optimize material flow within the manufacturing facility by streamlining logistics processes to reduce costs, maximize resource utilization, and decrease work in process.Provide leadership and direction to Warehousing and Receiving teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counting, scrap transaction validation, and record-keeping.Oversee the annual inventory process and audit plant scrap to maintain compliance and operational integrity.
