The Caterpillar Oil & Gas and Marine Division (COGMD) consists of a worldwide team helping to power the global energy industry as well as provide power and propulsion on the water.About Caterpillar MarineYou will be joining a high-performing team that’s leading services growth for Caterpillar Marine, with Cat dealers. When our customers win, we win. Complete reman engines and components and kitted products reduce customer total cost of operation and make it easy to do business with Caterpillar and Cat dealers. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work directly with Cat dealers, customers, and the Caterpillar Marine team to create the best possible customer experience. We have a global team for a global business that is very focused on the best outcomes for our customers.The Caterpillar Oil, Gas, and Marine Division currently has an exciting opportunity for a Parts & Service Consultant. The Parts & Service Consultant leads Business Development of the marine reman and kitted parts portfolio via new product introduction.Job Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Reviews voice of customer and voice of dealer to identify sales growth opportunities via development of new reman parts and complete engines, as well as kitted parts.

Conducts market/competitive research to identify new opportunities and industry trends.

Creates and validates business cases for launching new product development programs.

Collaborates with internal and external partners to define critical technical requirements – including but not limited to Marine Society rules, marine emissions regulations, marine application needs, and customer financial drivers.

Establishes metrics to monitor and review the effectiveness of existing sales growth strategies, suggesting necessary interventions for improvement.

Relocation is available for this position.

The primary location for this position is Houston, TX, but can also be located in Griffin, GA; Mossville, IL; Lafayette, IN; and Virginia Beach, VA
