Description Robert Half is seeking a candidate for an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk that is able to start asap. Based out of the Garden City, Georgia area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary opening. Career growth and quick advancement is available in this progressive department. The Accounts Payable Clerk position will require to match and batch code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks.Major responsibilities
Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time
Perform full-cycle A/P
Provide customer service to internal business partners
Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department
Assist with internal and external audits as needed
Carry out additional projects as required
Handle daily department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it
Manage the process of verifying, logging, and mailing checks, including expediting special handling
Maintain proper storage of invoices, checks, and other documents by organizing, logging, scanning, and filing them Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
Established communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills, especially with both technical and financial backgrounds
Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Expertise in Data Input
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
2+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
