Description ACCOUNTING MANAGER - Manufacturing Facility in Flowery BranchA successful organization that will recognize your efforts is working with Robert Half to find a talented Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate for this position can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. The ideal candidate for this position has the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations. This Accounting Manager role is based in the Flowery Branch, Georgia area and is a permanent employment opportunity that is not to be missed!Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the day-to-day, month-end, and year-end operations of the Accounting/ Finance Department.
Take a leading role in year-end and other audit activities.
Review transactions to ensure that they are booked to the correct GL accounts.
Supervise the Accounts Receivable and Payable team and ensure that all tasks are covered.
Maintain Fixed Asset and Depreciation schedules.
Facilitate tax reporting and payments with assistance from our CPA firm.
Maintain business license and other government registrations.
Complete government censuses and surveys, as needed.
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations.
Perform period closing journal entries and processes.
Perform other accounting, financial, and administrative tasks as may be required.
Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree
CPA or MBA preferred
Progressive experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setting
Ability to recognize, evaluate, and resolve problems effectively
Solid technical skills
Customer service oriented communication skills that allow for pleasant and beneficial interactions with all customers
