ArconicArchitecturalProducts (AAP) helps architects, designers, specifiers and installers achieve their own groundbreaking ideas using our Reynobond® %7C Reynolux® products. We serve the global market with manufacturing facilities in Eastman, Georgia USA and Merxheim, France, which manufactures and markets architectural systems and products in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East.We have an immediate opening for anApplications and Product Development Engineerto support our Arconic Architectural Products (AAP) business. Reporting to the Technical Manager, the APD Engineer will manage new products and product improvements as well as provide technical support to the commercial team.Duties & Responsibilities include:

Develop a roadmap which drives a product strategy aligned with AAP market strategy

Deliver profitable growth

Deliver a strong market position

Drive cost reduction efforts

Design and qualify new products, including all product testing

Ensure quality control and certification with new products

QualificationsBasic Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Architecture from an accredited institution.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing or building / construction environment.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

FE or AIA certification

Experience in exterior cladding industry

Knowledge of building and energy codes such as the International Building Code, and International Green Construction Code

Experience using MS office applications

Ability to effectively apply continuous improvement principles and techniques to quality and manufacturing functions

Knowledge of construction processes with demonstrated project management skills

Excellent understanding of mechanical concepts and process systems

Familiar with engineering software applications including AutoCAD

A strong understanding of safety protocols

Project management experience
