Position will be based in Chickamauga (GA) with a Hybrid Remote Schedule
The overall objectives of this position are as follows:
Responsible for plant accounting and reporting of weekly and monthly operating variances for Plant SI/LS. This includes communicating and driving results at the plant level.
Responsible for creating, updating, and maintaining standard cost sheets and the backing module of the cost sheet software.
This includes working with technical managers, industrial engineers, production managers and internal programmers to ensure accurate costs are assigned to new and existing products.
Develop “what if” costs as requested by Technical Managers. This includes gathering data from various sources and maintaining cost sheet models outside of the current automated system.
Work with product cost group to ensure accuracy and consistency of backing standards in carpet cost sheets.
Responsible for accuracy of raw materials, work in process and finished goods across Plant SI and Plant LS
Responsible for working with manufacturing personnel to ensure cycle counts are conducted regularly and inventory adjustments are made promptly.
Responsible for updating and generating quarterly operating budget.
Expected to adhere to corporate accounting deadlines for month end and year end responsibilities.
Work with corporate assets group to maintain physical assets activity (relocation, retirement) in asset management system
This position will be a key business partner of plant management and corporate manufacturing accounting.
Ensure updated and proper accounting procedures are being followed and search for better methods that will improve financial support at the plant level.
Essential Duties:
Prepare monthly journal entries, financial analysis, and reporting.
Communicate with people at various levels within our company.
Support manufacturing as needed with analyses and reports.
Do special projects as assigned by the manager as needed

Requirements:
4-year degree in Accounting, Business, Management, IE, or similar field
1+ years of experience
Knowledge of cost and general accounting principles, methods, and
applications.
Knowledge of computerized information systems used in financial and/or
accounting applications.
Knowledge of work sheet software to illustrate complex financial data. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and ability to work with detail.
Must be able to work well with people at all levels within the company.
