GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThis position is responsible for sourcing parts needed for repair of aviation components. Must be in contact with vendors through telephone, e-mail, and web portals. This position confirms and expedites all purchase orders. Requires attention to detail in understanding part numbers required, quantity, and ensure correct traceability documentation is provided.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPurchase aircraft and shop parts as required by Pentagon PMR's, restocking reports and occasional verbal/written request utilizing ILS, Data Access, vendor websites, telephone or email.Check the Part Material Requisition daily for newly added requests. Run min/max report daily to ensure stock needed is on hand. Enter vendor repair/overhaul quotes on purchase orders. Route the purchase orders to the appropriate manager for approval.Perform parts research for mechanics and technicians.Enter new part numbers into the Pentagon system.Work with Quality Assurance concerning cross-referenced or superseded parts into Pentagon.Provide support to Phoenix Air Group, Inc. out base personnel to ensure supplies needed are ordered in a timely manner.Analyze price proposals, financial reports, and other information to determine reasonable prices.SKILLS, COMPETENCIES, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTSMust have a working technical knowledge of aviation maintenance procurement.Must have one to two years' experience in Aviation / Aircraft part sales & distribution.Must be proficient in the use of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook).Must have excellent organizational skills.Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.Must be able to work in a team environment.Proficiency in Pentagon Software application preferred.PHYSICAL DEMANDSTalk and/or hear throughout the day.Sitting is required regularly throughout the day.Standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and/or crouching as needed.Use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms as needed.Lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently.Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus throughout the day.
