Position Overview:

We are seeking a personable and organized Office Assistant to join our boutique law office. This client-facing role is vital to the daily operations of the office and requires excellent people skills, basic computer proficiency, and the ability to manage a variety of tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Interaction: Greet clients, manage their expectations, and provide guidance based on their needs. Maintain a professional and approachable demeanor with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Administrative Duties:

Answer and direct phone calls.

Check, sort, and distribute mail.

Make copies, file documents, and manage paper and electronic filing systems.

Perform data entry and open new client files both online and in hard copy.

Errands and Logistics: Deliver documents and complete tasks at the courthouse, banks, and sheriff's office as needed.

Software Use: Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams to support office functions (familiarity with these tools is a plus). Learn and use the online case management systems used by office staff (My Case and Qualia).

Qualifications:

Basic computer skills with an eagerness to learn new tools and systems.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Reliable transportation for completing errands.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay will be commensurate with experience.
