Description DIRECTOR OF ACCOUNTING - Growth Oriented Role in Braselton, GARobert Half is looking for an ambitious Director of Accounting to join a well-respected company in Braselton, GA. This leadership role oversees an accounting and clerical department. As the Director of Accounting, you will plan and direct all accounting operational functions, manage the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for internal and external financial statements, assess accounting and internal control systems, and guide departmental staff. Your responsibilities:

Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports

Lead the operations of the finance department which includes accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

Research, prepare and execute Finance Department initiatives such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as required

Support punctual cash collection by managing the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques

Perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities

Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis

Manage daily cash and prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals

Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective

Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations

Requirements

Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred

Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

General familiarity with Inventory Accounting required

Workday and/or Adaptive Planning experience highly preferred

Top notch analytical, quantitative and social skills

Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required

Ability to meet deadlines

Great attention to detail

Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds

Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems
