We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team working out of the Port Of Savannah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of containers. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong commitment to safety, and the ability to navigate different routes effectively. As a Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities :
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery times, and vehicle maintenance.
Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
Communicate with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Ensure the secure transport of goods in refrigerated trailers as needed.
Experience:
Must have TWIC Card
Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
Experience with route driving and knowledge of local roadways is preferred.
Previous experience in delivery driving or similar roles is advantageous.
Strong understanding of safety protocols related to truck driving and cargo handling.
