Cabinet Installer/Helper

Georgia, Augusta, 30917 Augusta USA
Aplica ya

Looking for a cabinet installer with viable experience. Must have reliable transportation, a valid Georgia drivers license, and a great work ethic. Ability to lift 50+ lbs at any given moment is also a major requirement. This is a very physical job with not many breaks.

Day to day Responsibilities include:

- Loading and unloading cabinets out of a box truck or trailer

-Providing a QUALITY service and finished product. No cutting corners or doing second class work. This is an important requirement.

-Must maintain a positive attitude and use discretion when around builders, homeowners, or anyone not directly involved with our install/cabinetry.

-Must be at work on time, ready to go every morning. (If you need a day off or have appointments you must give at least one weeks notice, being a man down will impact our installation process tremendously.)

- Hours worked are dependent on the installation schedule. Some days we will get off as early as 11a-12pm, other days where we are slammed busy we could work until 730. This is apart of the job. We will not tolerate constant complaining about the working hours. This is a tough job and you will be compensated very well but complaining brings down the morale on the truck and will not be tolerated.

-Cutting trim, cabinet caulking, use of hand tools, and use of different types of saws are required everyday.

-Tools are provided to you when you start, however, if you lose your tools constantly they will not be replaced and you will be required to provide them.

-You will hardly ever be needed to work on the weekend but it does happen. Typically once every couple months when we are busy if we aren’t able to fit in all of our jobs during the week. But very infrequently.

-Must be able to work in a small team setting, no room for an argumentative attitude. Yes there will be disagreement but it must be handled respectfully.

-Must be able to set cabinets level, plum and square. Not everything will be absolutely perfect but we strive for perfection. If you are unsure about something do not hesitate to ask. If you have questions about what you’re working on we are happy to teach and explain.

-Must be able to read shop plans/Blueprints. This is a major ability. If you are able to read plans and decipher them you will be ahead of the curve.

Pay will be based on experience. We are looking for someone with at least 1-2 years experience in a carpentry related field. We are not against hiring someone new to the field but you must understand this is a very fast paced job and if you aren’t able to keep up and give it your all, every single day than it more than likely will not work out.

Experience would include:

-Trim cutting experience (Crown, base board, chair rail, flat trim, shoe/quarter round, ect.)

-Use of a miter saw, table saw, jigsaw, pneumatic nailers, skillsaw, ect)

-Ability to read shop plans/blueprints

-Experience driving a commercial vehicle (Boxtruck)

-Experience around custom cabinetry is a huge bonus. If you are coming from a cabinet shop environment this is a plus.

Please send me your resumes and a quick description about you, your experience and the reason you would be a good fit.

My number is 706-814-0393. Text is the best and fastest way to communicate with me during the week. I will accept calls also but only from 7am-7pm.
