City Wide Transportation is currently seeking full-time non emergency medical transportation drivers and attendants. We are looking for employees who are honest, caring, and reliable. Our mission is to safely transport stretcher patients to/from hospitals, dialysis centers, specialty care clinics, and other medical care facilities.

Job Responsibilities:

Transporting patients to/from nursing homes/personal homes, hospitals, medical facilities.

Manage a professional and courteous attitude to everyone in your work environment (co-workers, employers, nurses, doctors, etc.).

Communicate with dispatch managers in a safe, effective, and timely manner to ensure proper transportation.

Communicate with nurses, caretakers, family, nursing home/hospital secretaries to receive proper instructions on location and condition of patients.

Being aware and respectful towards patients and especially their conditions (wounds, catheters, sensitive areas of their bodies, etc.) to ensure proper transportation.

Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of company provided vehicles for maintenance purposes, as well as keeping the vehicle in pristine cleanliness.

Maintain all training requirements to be compliant as needed.

Attendants must sit with the patient if an escort is not provided with the patient.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Unfortunately, no Felonies.

Must possess a valid Drivers License.

Complete stretcher, CPR/AED, Defensive Driving, training requirements with NEMT (Non-Emergency Medical Transportation), and PASS (Passenger Assistance Safety and Sensitivity). There is an online and in-course portion you must complete before starting.

No moving violations in the past 3 years (does not apply for an attendant position).

Must have a flawless federal and state background check and pass a 9-panel drug screening test.

Must be able to lift bariatric (over 300lbs) patients from time to time with the help of a coworker.

Available to work between 6:00AM - 6:00PM, opportunities for additional work will be available on a need basis.

Must be reliable and on-time.

Preferred skills:

Previous NEMT (non-emergency medical transportation) experience.

Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.

Excellent communication skills and a courteous, positive attitude.

Have a genuine passion to help people.

Both driver and attendant positions are very active and require standing, walking, bending at the hips, kneeling, lifting patients on/off stretchers.

Work hours vary based on the schedule given to us by our providers, which is an on-call basis. Mornings as early as 4AM, evenings as late as 10PM, and holidays are often scheduled.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Saturday

Weekends as needed

Holidays as needed

Work experience required:

NEMT Driver: 1 year (preferred)

Full-time employment is required (at least 40 hours/week)

Compensation: $150 per day (with opportunities for bonuses for long days)

NEMT Attendant: 1 year (preferred)

Compensation: $130 per day (with opportunities for bonuses for long days)

Full-time employment is required for both positions (at least 40 hours/week)

Work Location: We transport patients all over Georgia. Mostly in Newnan/Carrollton/Lagrange/Atlanta/Stockbridge/Jonesboro/Forest Park. Oftentimes we transport patients several hours away, as far as Savannah.
