Duties & Responsibilities
· Terminal Operations: Manage and coordinate all activities within the logistics terminal, including inbound and outbound shipments, inventory management, and order fulfillment. Monitor and optimize workflow, ensuring timely and accurate processing of goods.
· Personnel Management: Recruit, train, and supervise terminal staff, including warehouse workers, forklift operators, and administrative personnel. Assign tasks, set performance goals, and provide guidance to maximize productivity and maintain a motivated workforce.
· Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations within the terminal. Implement and enforce safety policies, conduct regular inspections, and address any issues or concerns promptly. Stay updated on relevant legal requirements and industry best practices.
· Inventory Control: Develop and implement inventory control procedures to monitor stock levels, track item movement, and minimize discrepancies or losses. Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to optimize inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.
· Customer Service: Collaborate with customer service teams to meet client requirements and address any logistics related concerns or inquiries. Maintain effective communication channels to provide timely updates on shipments, delivery schedules, and any potential delays or issues.
· Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess terminal performance and identify areas for improvement. Develop strategies and implement process enhancements to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
