Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Solar Photovoltaic Installer Supervisor to join our team in Georgia. The successful candidate will oversee the installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. This role requires a leader who can manage teams, coordinate with other contractors, and ensure compliance with all relevant safety and quality standards.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Team Supervision: Lead and manage a team of solar PV installers, assigning tasks and ensuring all work is completed to high standards.

Quality Assurance: Inspect ongoing and completed work to ensure installations meet industry standards, company guidelines, and customer expectations.

Safety Management: Enforce safety protocols, conduct safety briefings, and ensure the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers to coordinate installation schedules, manage timelines, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

Troubleshooting: Address and resolve any issues that arise during installation, providing technical guidance to the team as needed.

Training: Train new installers and provide ongoing mentorship to team members, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest installation techniques and safety practices.

Client Interaction: Occasionally interact with clients on-site to address concerns and answer questions related to the installation process.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of the installation process, including work completed, materials used, and any incidents that occur.

Certification Requirements:

OSHA 30 Certification: Required to ensure a comprehensive understanding of workplace safety. Note: Must obtain within 3 months of hire.

NABCEP (North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners) Certification: Preferred, demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in solar PV installation.

Electrician Certification: Preferred, especially if the role involves significant electrical work.

Skills and Qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a solar PV installer, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.

Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to delegate tasks and oversee operations effectively.

Transportation: you must have your own transportation.

Tools: provide your own basic tools.

Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of solar PV systems, electrical systems, and relevant building codes.

Safety-Conscious: Strong commitment to maintaining a safe work environment, with a thorough understanding of OSHA regulations.

Communication: Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members, clients, and other contractors.

Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly address and resolve issues that arise during the installation process.
