Job Summary
We are looking for a committed safety personnel to join our construction team. This key role is responsible for ensuring a safe work environment by developing and enforcing safety protocols, maintaining regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture across all projects. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and Spanish, with a strong background in construction safety and excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities
Safety Program Management: Develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety policies and programs.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations meet or exceed local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Training & Education: Conduct safety training for employees and subcontractors in both English and Spanish.
Site Inspections: Perform routine job site inspections to identify risks and implement corrective actions.
Incident Response: Investigate accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventative strategies.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed and accurate records of inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for all safety-related communications on site.
Collaboration: Partner with project managers, supervisors, and field staff to promote continuous safety improvement.
Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of experience in construction safety.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelors degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
Certifications: OSHA 30 or higher required; additional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, CHST)
OSHA 500 or higher for Manager Role
Language Skills: Must be fluent in both English and Spanish.
Skills: Deep understanding of OSHA standards and construction safety best practices.
Attributes: Strong communicator, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
