What You’ll Be Doing
As a handyman with Home Solution Doctor, you’ll be responsible for handling a variety of home repair and improvement tasks. Most jobs range from a few hours to a couple of days.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Completing general maintenance, repairs, and small remodeling projects
Communicating clearly with customers about project details, scope, and pricing
Providing a high-quality experience that encourages repeat business and referrals
Managing your own time and documenting completed work using our mobile system
Collecting payment, requesting customer feedback, and maintaining a clean, respectful presence in clients’ homes
Following safety procedures and using proper protective gear, including shoe covers
What We’re Looking For
To qualify for this role, candidates must:
Be local to the area
Have 8+ years of experience as a paid handyman or technician
Own a personal set of tools
Have your own vehicle to drive to jobs
Pass a background check
Be able to lift at least 50 pounds on your own
Be comfortable working on ladders or overhead for periods of time
Present a clean, professional appearance and treat customer homes with care
Helpful Skills and Specialties
You should have proven experience in at least three of the following areas:
General carpentry
Bathroom and kitchen updates
Interior and exterior painting
Drywall repair and finishing
Light plumbing and electrical work (within legal limits)
Flooring installation or refinishing
Code-compliant home repairs
