Construction Maintenance Technician

OVERVIEW: The ASAP Reac & Reno, LLC Construction Maintenance Technician will perform repairs, including, but not limited to: plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, refurbishment, painting, and sheet rock.

Job Description

Technician will:

Work quickly and efficiently to fulfill work orders while adhering to the preferences of the Maintenance and/or Property Manager.

Key Duties include:

- Maintaining accurate records of all installation and maintenance work as required by manufacturers or housing ordinances

- Carrying out unit turn keys, unit punching, and repairs/installations of garbage disposals, fixtures, draperies, appliances, locks, windows, and other glass.

- Freezing windows, fitting doors, building/replacing shelves, concrete repair, masonry, roof repair, fencing, and sanding.

- Cleaning and maintaining work areas by emptying trash, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, and cleaning windows.

- Repairing, upgrading, and/or renovating unoccupied apartments to market-ready status prior to resident occupancy

- Regularly checking building exteriors and general areas to assess for repairs

- Performing janitorial duties as needed

- Supporting annual unit inspections

- Promptly responding to resident service inquiries

- Providing the supervisor with reports on maintenance matters for the reconstruction of models, vacant units, and/or routine areas

- Assisting in supervising supplies and/or maintenance inventory

- Moving heavy objects as needed

Educational and Professional Requirements:

- Possess a valid Georgia driver’s license, private vehicle, working/activated cell phone, and basic set of tools

- Practical knowledge of HVAC, gas, water, meter cut-offs, sewer clean-outs, and fixtures

- Ability to read/understand property maps and diagrams

- Minimum of a high school diploma or commensurate degree

- Trade school degree and/or certification preferred

- Minimum two years of prior experience with environmental maintenance

- Ability to read and comprehend safety procedures and rules of operation

- Ability to maintain a professional attitude and appearance when speaking/working with coworkers, residents, business partners, and the like

Compensation:

$18-$25 per hour
