Desired Qualifications (Will Train)

● Driver's License (Required) and good driving record

● Experience with repair and maintenance of Storefront Doors, and/or Automatic Entry, Pedestrian desired.

● Follows all safety procedures in performing work, as well as company policies.

● Able to work without supervision. Occasionally, will work in a team environment.

● Install door hardware. Exit Devices, Mortise Locks, Closers, Pivots, etc

● Able to key cylinders and explain security features to customers

● Access control knowledge and experience wanted but not required.

● Must be able to pass a background check

Full Job Description

Come join us at our locally owned and operated company. We are looking for individuals who want to be paid competitively in an environment that provides the tools to excel. Training will be provided for the right person looking for a long term career

US Door Service currently serves properties in and around Atlanta and has more growth than we can handle. The position will interact with customers providing an explanation of the problem and the solution we will provide. The typical job is 1 or 2 hours at a location and then on to the next. Quickbooks is used to provide an invoice and receive payment for non-corporate customers. A pleasant disposition is mandatory.

Employees are encouraged to call our seasoned employees for help when a problem isn't understood. The most important thing is to do a good repair and have a happy customer.

You will control your pay, and should be easily able to have an annual income over 75K.

This is because of the quality and honesty of the work that we do. We have no intention of changing this culture. We want to be a place where everyone wants to work and employees enjoy going to work each day.

Responsibilities

● Loading materials onto truck

● Ability to work with team members or alone

● Ability to enter and amend service orders / work orders

● Start and complete jobs for customer and collect money due on each job

● Maintain proper inventory on truck having knowledge of inventory, parts and equipment

● Properly maintain company truck

● Abide by safety policy and clean up each job site prior to departure

● Communicate and maintain a positive relationship with customers, contractors, fellow employees.

● Promptly report to work and each customer job site

● Education: High school diploma or equivalent

● Ability to safely lift 75 pounds

● Mechanical & electrical experience preferred

● Must pass drug test and background check

● Must have good customer service skills

● Must work well with others

● Must have personal transportation to and from work

● Strong communication, problem solving, and analytical skills.

● Technical school training a plus.

● Must have schedule flexibility, as services may be performed during evenings, weekends or holidays (most normal shifts M-F, 7:00a – 5:00p).

● Troubleshoot industrial equipment, mechanisms, mechanical systems and electrical circuits.

● Perform service, maintenance, repair and installation on a variety of different commercial automatic entry doors which includes storefront, sliding, swinging, glass, revolving/rotating, low energy, handicap, and folding. This also includes the mechanisms, mechanical systems and electrical circuits associated with each.

● Provide information and recommend services to the Sales team.

● Manage work orders (paper and digital) for each job in a timely manner.

● Perform hazard assessments and maintain a high standard of safe work practices and quality control.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to wear approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), carry tools, use hands to maneuver, handle or feel, and hear and talk. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
