The Georgian Terrace Hotel is a full-service luxury hotel in the heart of Atlanta, Georgia. Our historic hotel, built in 1911 and expanded in 1991, boasts 326 rooms, 28,894 square feet of conference center space, and a range of amenities, including a junior Olympic rooftop swimming pool. Position Overview:

We seek an experienced and skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance department. The Maintenance Manager will oversee all aspects of facility maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building repairs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance management, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.

- Develop and implement maintenance strategies, procedures, and schedules to ensure the hotel's operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

- Lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing training, guidance, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.

- Coordinate with the Director of Facilities to manage capital expenditure projects and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.

- Oversee the maintenance of the hotel's HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.

- Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's facilities to promptly identify and address maintenance issues.

- Manage maintenance budgets and control expenses to ensure cost-effectiveness.

- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to hotel operations.

- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.

- Ensure inventory control and manage shop stock inventories and equipment.

- Plan and modify schedules as needed to address maintenance needs effectively.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance management, preferably in a hospitality or commercial setting.

- EPA certification and superior skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing heat pump units.

- Skilled in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, drywall, painting, and furniture repair.

- Experience managing groups of maintenance technicians with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficient in inventory control and managing shop stock inventories and equipment.

- Strong knowledge of schedule planning and reactionary schedule modifications.

- Experience with commercial cooking equipment and restaurant line operations.

- Leadership by example, with a commitment to team development and safety.

- Proficient in computer-aided facility management (CAFM) software and Microsoft Office.
